Triple crowns were his one weakness right? Well, turns out he has that figured out too. No one was even close to matching his pace… and that’s scary for his competitors. No doubt this is his championship to lose, and I honestly don’t even know if these guys behind him care enough to battle a lot for 2nd. It’s a new generation… this kid will win A LOT.
Again… this is getting old but Indy was roughhhhh. Massive ruts, riders struggling to do triples in the rhythms, a straight freeway in the whoops… etc. As a fan, I watch this and feel stressed for the riders… nasty conditions. As a rider though, in talking to a lot of them they all seem to like these conditions! It allows for separation, and is fun?
This guy has been super consistent this year (and even last year if you look at his results). He seems genuinely happy, gives open and honest answers to questions, and is better than ever on the track. It’s hard to get riders to open up, but McAdoo talks about his emotions and mentality. We talked to him about building relationships with other riders in the sport, traveling and exploring cities, and more. Check out our interview with him for more deets.
Chase seems pissed that he can’t win, but his riding in Indy was the best we’ve seen since his hand injury pre-Phoenix. He looks aggressive and moves forward on the track. He’s also more consistent this year than ever before. I can’t tell if that’s because of him not liking the bike and toning down his sheer speed, or it’s a genuine strategy? Regardless, he’s getting better, and if anyone has the speed capable of matching Jett, it’ll be Chase.
Feld needs to love these closed stadiums. We don’t have many of them on the schedule, but Indy is an immediate classic venue. Huge red-brick barn; awesome design. Pits are conveniently located right outside, and when the weather is nice it’s an overall awesome vibe.
