It took three races, but Jett finally got it done. We all expected him to come out swinging at A1, but some bike problems, bad starts, and crashes stifled his way. However, with a smooth, patient ride at A2, Jett is clearly back. I was most impressed with his patience… he took the first half of the race to settle in, pick his lines, and finally made the move on Anderson. I think he only improves from here on out… gonna be tough to beat him moving forward.
Not a surprise that he’s fast right? But he continues to impress me with just how fast he is. He’s pushing super hard in qualifying to put down fast laps, and that heat race was something else. It’s a shame he got a bad start… definitely could have competed with Jett for that win.
This has to be one of the best versions of Tomac we’ve ever seen right? I can’t think of a season where he has shown this much speed consistently in the first 3 rounds. Normally we see some up and down results from him… I’m still kinda expecting that at some point, but we will see! So far: super good.
2-4-2 to start the year off for Roczen and he now has the points lead… super strong start to the season! He was our Most Impressive 250 Rider at A2 and well-deserved. Now let’s just hope Beaumer can challenge back.
Yikes… not a good start to the season for AP with a 9-22-22. After such a strong start last year, it makes the start to 2025 look extra worse. AP needed to build off of his 2024 SX success to get some more wins this year, but so far it ain’t happening. We will see if he can turn things around soon…
I watched the LCQs in the nosebleeds with some friends. It was their first time watching Supercross and they got a classic show: obviously good racing, but also some drunken fights!
