1 27 Malcolm Stewart Malcom Stewart's first win! And at his hometown race to boot. Stewart was straight up the best guy tonight; he had the fastest lap of the main, and best ideal lap time too. He was almost a second faster than anyone else in the whoops... crazy. Well deserved win for Malcolm; I think he would have won even if Sexton didn't crash. He started in 8th and passed through the field pretty quickly.
2 2 Cooper Webb Webb had the 2nd fastest time of the main, but he was gifted that 2nd place when Sexton crashed. A mid-pack start was tough to over-come, but he crawled through the pack nicely. If he had started near the front it would have been interesting to see him battle with Sexton.
3 21 Jason Anderson Jason was gifted the podium when Sexton crashed and dropped back. He got a good start but was a bit off the pace and couldn't match Sexton out front; he then got passed by Stewart, Webb, and Roczen. At least he rebounded somewhat from a poor ride in Glendale.
4 32 Justin Cooper Cooper got a really good start but then shuffled back a bit; he was jumping the whoops which was super slow. It should have been a 6th, but Roczen and Sexton crashed and now he ends up with this career best SX finish!
5 4 Chase Sexton Holeshot for Sexton and it looked like he was gonna cruise in for a win. But no, Stewart caught up to him and applied pressure, ultimately leading to a crash for Chase; it was a costly one resulting in bike damage, but he limped it in for a 5th. Not ideal points-wise either... now Webb is only 5 back. Disappointing ride to not be able to match Stewart's pace... he was struggling in the whoops.
6 51 Justin Barcia Uneventful night for Barcia. He started in 6th and finished there. He was a bit off the pace compared to those in front of him. The 6th place result matches his season best from A1.
7 17 Joey Savatgy Finally something positive for Savatgy! He started 8th, got shuffled back a bit, but then passed Plessinger and pulled away from him. He also had a faster lap time than Barica in front of him too, but not consistently enough to catch up.
8 7 Aaron Plessinger Another disappointing race for AP. He got passed by Savatgy and then got dropped; just wasn't fast enough tonight.
9 12 Shane McElrath Best finish since the SF mudder last year for Shane. He got a great top 5 start but quickly got shuffled back to 10th.
10 46 Justin Hill Mid pack start in 11th for Hill. He put down some decent laps and passed McElrath. It looks like he finished ahead of him, but for some reason the offical results have him one spot back. Still no penalty report from the AMA so unsure what happened.
11 49 Mitchell Oldenburg This is Oldenburg's best finish in the 450 class. A mid-pack start for him, and then passed his teammate Bloss to get up to 11th. Some decent lap times as well (better than McElrath for instance).
12 45 Colt Nichols Nichols is slowly getting better? Hard to believe that this is his best finish since 2023. Not a great start, but he passed a few guys and was right behind Oldenburg at the end.
13 57 Benny Bloss Somewhat disappointing ride for Bloss to get passed by Oldenburg and Nichols. He had a faster ideal lap time than Nichols at least.
14 72 Anthony Rodriguez 2nd Main Event in a row for Rodriguez, and a great top 15 finish tonight! He didn't make any main events last year, so the last two weeks have been good. He's fast too... qualifying well. Got a bad start in the main but passed a couple guys to get up into this position.
15 11 Kyle Chisholm Chisholm started dead last and slowly worked his way to 15th. It was his last time racing at his home-town race in Tampa, so Feld introduced him during opening ceremonies which was cool.
16 86 Mitchell Harrison Two main events in a row for Harrison. When he stays on two wheels, he tends to be a main event guy. He made a mistake early in the race to drop a few spots and then Chisholm got him about halfway through.
17 3 Eli Tomac Ugh another day of "what-ifs" for Tomac. After injuring his foot/ankle/leg in qualifying, 17th was all he could salvage; he was in dead last for the first few laps and could barely move up. It was painful to watch... he looked really bad out there, but kudos to grinding it out. Let's hope he can heal up and be better next weekend.
18 122 Justin Starling Qualifying straight from the heat race for his first main event since 2023! Midpack start in the main but dropped back and was off the pace. Opportunity to build off of this... he has been steadily improving every weekend so far.
19 146 Kevin Moranz Moranz started near the back and then dropped to 22nd before taking advantage of the lapping incident with Roczen to move up a few spots. He's turning into a main event guy (3rd main event of the year for him), but needs to find more pace in the mains.
20 68 Jeremy Hand First race of the year for Hand and straight into the mains! He was battling for 18th whilst being lapped and got tangled up with Roczen in the sand (lappers please move over). He coasted around after that and ended up a few laps back by the end.
21 94 Ken Roczen It was going well for Roczen to start... he was battling for a podium spot with Webb when a lapper (Hand) got in his way and crashed. It was a tough get-off... luckily he's okay but his bike wasn't. Tough loss of points tonight.
22 711 Tristan Lane Congrats to Lane on making it into his first main event of the year! He was battling with Hand for 18th while being lapped and got caught up in the incident with Roczen. He got up, but pulled off a few sections later with a hurt arm. Nothing broken... hopefully he's back for Detroit.

1 31 Max Anstie Anstie was the guy to beat all day: fasteset qualifier, won the heat, and first place in the main with fastest lap and best ideal lap time; perfect start to the season. He started in 2nd right behind Brown, and was pressuring him for the lead before Brown crashed. After the restart, he had complete control of the race; he mentioned that it was like another practice day with his teammate behind him.
2 34 Daxton Bennick Bennick one-ups his career best from the opening race last year with a super solid performance. He started near the front and stayed there the entire race. His lap times were great, and after the restart he pulled away from the Pro Circuit guys behind him; impressive.
3 50 Cameron Mcadoo McAdoo is racing with a torn ACL and is definitely not at 100%. However, he looked awesome all day. He started 7th start and was in 5th before the restart; he took advantage of that to pass Hammaker right away for the podium spot. He was the third fastest rider and looked awesome in the whoops.
4 56 Seth Hammaker A good solid ride for Seth: 4th place start and a 4th place finish. He got passed and gapped by McAdoo which is a bit disappointing for him... just a bit off the pace.
5 1 Tom Vialle Vialle never looked great all day. He got a good start in the main but got gapped by the guys in front; he was over a second off Anstie's fastest lap in the main. He had a bad crash in the whoops in qualifying and is lucky to be okay from that; top 5 is good considering how off he looked.
6 10 Chance Hymas Hymas is still recovering from surgery in the off-season, so a 6th is great for him to start. He started 5th before getting passed by McAdoo and Vialle. However, he found some pace in the second half of the race to catch back up to Vialle and was pressuring him at the end.
7 59 Cullin Park Park started 13th, passed Mumford, and then took advantage of problems for Hampshire, Thrasher, and Vohland to move up a few spots before the restart. After the restart, he made an aggressive move on Forkner (causing Forkner to crash) to move up to 7th. What's most impressive is that Thrasher and Kitchen were close behind him after the restart, but Park outdid their lap times and held them off. He couldn't match the pace of the guys in front him (fastest lap was slower by about 1 second), but nonetheless a very impressive top 10 for Park; he looked great and was fast all day!
8 41 Nate Thrasher Thrasher started 10th before crashing back to 20th on Lap 3. He worked his way up to 16th, but took advantage of the staggered start to pass a lot of guys within the first lap and move up inside the top 10. He was battling back and forth with Kitchen for the second half of the race but eventaully sealed the dealed.
9 47 Levi Kitchen A bad night and start to the season for Kitchen. He had a bad start, and then on Lap 2 crashed back to 21st. He was slowly making his way forwawrd, but took advantage of the staggered start and passed a few guys right away to get inside the top 10. However, he just didn't have the speed after that to move up any further... Thrasher and Park were faster than him, and he was wayyyy off the pace of the leaders; not good.
10 60 Carson Mumford Mumford had a mid-pack start and kinda stayed there. He was battling with Park after the restart, but eventually got passed by Thrasher and Kitchen and lost the pace of those guys.
11 55 Henry Miller Miller had a very similar race to Mumford (was behind him the whole time): mid-pack start, got passed by Thrasher and Kitchen off the restart, and then stayed put. He actually was catching Mumford at the end but ran out of time.
12 75 Gage Linville Linville had to go the LCQ and was looking off-ish, but got things together and then put in a decent ride in the main. He had a horrible start in 20th, but slowly worked his way up to 13th before the restart. After that he rode around by himself: not nearly as fast as the guys in front, but faster than everyone else behind him.
13 87 Hardy Munoz Munoz started 17th and made some passes to get up to 12th before Linville passed him after the restart. The rest of the race was uneventful for him.
14 195 Lance Kobusch Career-best for Kobusch! He started 18th, got passed by Linville, but took advantage of problems for Brown, Hampshire, Forkner, and Vohland to move up into this spot. He also passed Neese after the restart.
15 125 Luke Neese It has been a long road back for Neese after a good 2023 season. He started the main in 16th and stayed there for most of the race. Kobusch passed him after the restart.
16 89 Trevor Colip Colip's sophomore season. Last year he debuted with an 11th... so I expect he wants more than this. He started in 21st and didn't make any passes (he moved up spots due to problems / crashes for Forker, Hampshire, etc.).
17 83 Austin Forkner Forkner was riding in the top 10 before he got taken down by Park after the restart. He looked off all day and was struggling with the flu, but we're glad just to see him leave Tampa healthy! It's a rebuilding year for him.
18 24 RJ Hampshire Hampshire started in 9th, passed Forkner, and then got caught in a tuff-block for an entire lap... horrible start to the season for him. He was a lap down off the restart, but worked his way past people (unlapping himself) and was right behind Kitchen at the end. He got screwed by the restart... definitely would have finished better.
19 192 Jack Chambers Chambers crashed in the whoops on the first two laps. He was wayyyy back, and from there on out just rode it in for the 19th after misfortunes for others.
20 20 Pierce Brown What a shame for Brown. He was fast all day, got the holeshot and was leading before a nasty crash in the whoops which caused the red flag. Was excited to see improvements from him on the Star Yamaha, but now he has a broken back and will be off the bike for a while presumably. Heal up soon!
21 92 Maximus Vohland Vohland got a mid-pack start, passed Forkner and was in 8th before his bike gave out. Glad to see him back out there and curious to see where he will finish next weekend.
22 73 Preston Boespflug Preston got a bad start and was 19th before he dropped out of the race the same lap as Vohland and Brown. Not sure what happened.
